Designing the future at a global innovation firm
I joined global innovation firm, frog design, in June of 2008 as a Senior Design Analyst - spearheading internal touchscreen research and development and creating awareness on the need to sharpen the firms expertise in this area - and defining our brand as truly innovative and nimble in a constantly changing technology landscape.
I worked on projects for Intel, AT&T, Microsoft, Alcatel, Tribune Interactive, and others and brought expertise in interaction design, design research, consumer focused innovation, and a wealth of convergent design experience for product ecosystems that allowed my teams to engage our diverse clients with powerful and actionable insights into the needs and desires of consumers. These insights were based on immersive research into the nuts and bolts of powerful nascent technologies, timely consumer research and creating opportunities for impactful products and services.

Products, services, and innovation for large clients
frog design is also known for causing profound changes within corporate cultures, by allowing them to break free from redundant practices that stifle profound leaps in innovation. The true underlying value created by this consultancy is often created in ways that cannot be easily expressed, itemized, or billed for.
My role at frog design ranged from international research, to interaction design, to developing an immersive understanding of nascent technologies, and synthesis of complex datasets into opportunities and providing our client with transparency into our design process and thinking.

Facilitating excellence through exploration
Created touchscreen development programs within the Seattle and San Francisco
studios to enhance our expertise in large touchscreen design and development. Our focus began with creating large screens using off-the-shelf components popular in hobbyist communities. My team developed large touchscreens using LLP (Laser Light Plane), FTIR (Frustrated Total Internal Reflection), and researched the technological underpinnings of numerous others. We utilized open source frameworks, and developed the capability to enable rapid prototyping and demonstrate design concepts for our clients.
