Bringing touch to the masses with Windows 7
As a senior-level designer working on the Windows 7 touch pack project, I worked closely with the MS team to inspire their approach to communicating the value of native touch capabilities in Windows 7 to developers and consumers. Applications that are fun, useful, and deliver a compelling set of experiences to a mainstream audience. I created a new take on the traditional photos application - designed and presented interaction design work, created and delivered motion design concepts meant to convey the subtle and responsive qualities I felt were needed. I had a significant influence on the direction of the virtual earth application - pushing for 3D landscape view integration, and designing a gestural experience that allows for a 3D landscape to be navigated easily and intuitively on a touchscreen.

Interaction expertise and the opportunity matrix
After this project, I led the creation of both Seattle and San Francisco touch research programs, beginning with the design of a touchscreen in Seattle called "Jesture". The vision was to eventually have a program that encompassed and explored interaction potential through a combination of gesture, motion, sensing, and more.
